Our client needed their downstairs bathroom renovated while they were away on holiday, so the work could be completed with as little disruption to their home and routine as possible. The brief was to deliver a quick turnaround without compromising on quality, leaving them with a finished bathroom ready to use when they returned.
The Project
The aim of the project was to take the existing bathroom right back to its bare structure and rebuild it properly from the ground up, giving the new suite a solid, long-lasting foundation. With the client away, we worked to a tight schedule so that every stage, from the strip out through to decoration, could be completed before they arrived home.
Once the room had been stripped back to brickwork, we discovered rotten joists in the stud wall around the shower area, which were repaired before any new boarding went up. New moisture resistant boards, plasterboard and a fresh skim created a clean, durable finish, and the new bathroom supplied by the client was then fitted alongside aqua panels for a practical, water resistant shower area.
Scope of Works
Our involvement covered the full renovation, from the initial strip out through to the final decoration, with every trade managed under one roof to deliver a high-quality, joined-up result within the client’s timeframe.
Key works included:
- Strip out of the existing downstairs bathroom back to brickwork
- Repair of rotten joists in the stud wall in the shower area
- Fitting of new moisture boards and plasterboard
